Offline mode

Apps need it.

App builders should try using their apps with patchy/no Internet, and consider having limited offline features.

I'm not expecting Twitter, LinkedIn etc to load new content when I can't get online.

But saying "you're offline - you can still write a post and we'll send it when you're online" would be better than a bunch of errors - or losing the post.

Why do media apps want to "phone home" and choke with no connection when I have loads of playlists and TV series downloaded specifically for offline use? Spotify, Netflix, iPlayer are all guilty of this.

Why not have an offline mode? Makes it easier to test - and to stop pointlessly trying to load things when the user knows they are in a poor / no signal area.

We don't always have super fast Internet. Making the experience better when not on a lightning fast connection would be nice.
